Heritage, new use and robustness

The transformation of the Delizy tower in Pantin converts a 1970s office building, with a robust post-and-beam structure and open floor plates, into innovative and sustainable collective housing adapted to the climate challenges of 2050.

Keeping the entire structural frame for a low-carbon approach, the project replaces the energy-intensive curtain wall with a bioclimatic envelope in timber frame insulated with straw and thatch, ensuring passive comfort and energy autonomy reinforced by an earth-air heat exchanger, rainwater harvesting, 300 m² of photovoltaic panels and storage batteries.

The programme goes beyond conventional typologies by encouraging a collective life enriched by large shared spaces — kitchens, lounges, workshops, laundries, coworking — complementing the private rooms of each home. The ground floor, open to the city with a Fab-Lab, a café and workspaces, makes the tower a model of hybrid, adaptable housing, combining constructive frugality, technical simplicity and new ways of living.
