Located in Fley, this house opened widely to the south onto the garden, while its north façade was strangely closed, as if the house did not wish to engage with the whole of the space around it.

Lived in by the same family for generations, its architectural form has constantly evolved over time. Originally built in stone, it was transformed in the 1970s by raising the living volume. That renovation is characterised by a shallow roof pitch, wide openings and timber shutters.
The building is made up of three parts: the base, the monolith and the roofs. The stone base connects the house to the surrounding vernacular landscape.

It contains the foundations and service spaces: cellars, plant and storage rooms. The monolith is the living space. It stands as a tall white volume, insulated and ventilated, cleverly opened onto the landscape. The roofs, formed by the main roof and the zinc and timber canopy over the gallery, protect and insulate the building.
